Save Nature | Recycle Flowers | Health Benefits

We in India are devotional and spiritual people, few visiting temples  almost everyday to people who go in a week or even less, but we do and god resides in our heart.

Offering comes in form of flowers, candles, water, even dairy products like milk, curd and ghee. We often think what happens after the offering has been made to the gods, are they just thrown away or fed to animals or just lie in a barren waste land. While devotion is one aspect, but in this world where natural resources are depleting, we often talk or hear about recycling and reusing whatever best we can.

Welcome to the world of recycling flowers, welcome to the world of fragrance, welcome to the world of Phool.

We came across the products through various online media posts and with their mission statement on recycling flowers from temple use, made us immediately try at least few products. When we visited their online shopping portal, we were in for a surprise as the fragrances on offer were in abundance and we took a good amount of time zeroing out what we should start with.

Final order we made was for an incense stick - eucalyptus and a cone - nargis, delivery was within 2 days to our home in Navi Mumbai. Items were neatly packed and on time delivery from a remote place in Kanpur.

Nargis - Name of the flower used in this fragrance is Narcissus poeticus which has a sedative effect that relaxes your mind and helps you sleep better.
It is also commonly used for Aromatherapy, Home Fragrance, Meditation and Yoga. Covid and work pressure in 2020, has unsettled our minds so much that we thought we need this stress reliving fragrance.          Eucalyptus - often known as Nilgiri plant, this is minty and camphoraceous, it eliminates bad odor and creates a pleasant home fragrance. Eucalyptus is also commonly used for Aromatherapy, Mosquito repelling, and Yoga.

While the number of sticks in either cone or the stick was limited to 40 and the asking price seem to be on the higher side, this may look steep but the aroma it would provide and make your evening truly enjoyable is worth the investment you would make.
